For the past 40 years, YWCA Lake County (YWCALC) celebrates trailblazing women in the community at its Annual Women of Achievement (WOA) Leadership Luncheon. We are proud to honor these exceptional individuals who have demonstrated enduring commitment and exceptional dedication in their respective fields, including business leadership, community and civic involvement, racial justice, corporate social responsibility, youth and emerging leaders. The exemplary contributions that these women bring to the table exemplify this year’s WOA theme, “Breaking Barriers,” with their stories of resiliency and of defying stereotypes to tackle gender disparities; and change their lives that inspire women, girls and the communities they live in.
Our WOA Luncheon event brings together over 300 distinguished community members from across a diverse representation to celebrate and honor extraordinary women and youth leaders during this remarkable period of catalytic change in our society. For the past 40 years, YWCALC’s WOA event have honored 280 amazing individuals where women and men come to engage, connect and get inspired with stories of determination, hardships, resilience and success. Proceeds from this event will benefit YWCALC’s participants through our core programs: Health Services; Economic Empowerment; Racial Justice; Youth Services; and the Childcare Resource and Referral/Assistance.
