About Us

DeVry University’s history is defined by innovation. Our founder was Dr. Herman DeVry. In 1931, he used the portable projector he’d invented to take film out of the theater and into the classroom. Herman believed that visual learning would advance education – and change the world. DeVry still stands for innovation, preparing students to leverage technology to solve business problems of the future.

Technology is everywhere. It’s driving modern business. It’s changing the way we work – and what you’ll need to know to stay ahead. That’s why DeVry University programs are infused with technology and experiential learning. We call it TechPath and the goal is simple: that you graduate prepared and better equipped to make an impact. And you can do all of this while managing life, with both on-campus and online classes, and sessions starting every eight weeks.

Situated near the Gurnee Mills Mall, with easy access from the Tri-State Tollway (294) via the Grand Avenue/Route 132 exit, DeVry University Gurnee Center offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in some of today's growing career fields. In close proximity to research facilities, financial institutions, and industrial parks as well as Chicago and Milwaukee's thriving business communities, DeVry University Gurnee enables you to explore possible career opportunities in a wide variety of industries.
